The 1717 Collective is looking for its first RVA Ecosystem Director. Are you that person? The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Director will support the expansion and growth of the entrepreneurial community, in part by developing and maintaining deep and positive relationships with a variety of regional stakeholders across the private and public sectors to shape and support the evolution and growth of the region’s entrepreneurial and business economy. Additionally, this leader and the resources they will connect will serve as a guide and resource hub for entrepreneurs, helping them learn about and access the tools they need to start and grow their businesses. The 1717 Collection is a team of five awesome RVA organizations working together to strengthen the entrepreneurial community in Richmond, VA. Made up of Startup Virginia, Bridging Virginia, JWC Foundation, The Metropolitan Business League, and Lighthouse Labs RVA this collective aims to connect and support local entrepreneurs and small businesses. By combining their unique skills and resources, the 1717 Collection creates a lively and inclusive environment where innovation can flourish and the local economy can grow. The event is a celebration of Virginia’s specialty crafted food and drink industry, and has been hosted by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) since 1992.
