Thank you to LG Energy Solution Michigan, who worked on Araceli's home this week for Women Build! LG has been a faithful Lakeshore Habitat supporter for many years, and we are so thankful for their partnership as we both empower women to build AND work to provide affordable homeownership to families in our community.

Providing strength & stability to families through affordable homeownership in Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren Counties
About us
Habitat for Humanity facilitates affordable homeownership for hard-working low income families who are not able to secure typical mortgages and who live in substandard, overcrowded, and unsafe housing. Habitat builds new homes and restores older homes in stable neighborhoods for these families offering a 'hand up' and a secure environment for their children to blossom. Lakeshore Habitat is the local affiliate of Habitat International located in western Michigan and supports the Holland, Allegan, Fennville, Saugatuck, Hudsonville, and Zeeland cities and nearby areas. Each Habitat office has a skeleton staff serving both full and part time with hundreds of volunteers. Consider joining us as a volunteer to make a difference for a family in your community.

Thank you ODL, Inc for volunteering with us and for your continued support of our work in the community!
BUILDING VALUE INTO OUR COMMUNITY | Several members of our marketing team participated in a Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity build this week (and spotted some ODL doorglass in the wild)! In addition to professional work, it takes more than 2000 volunteer hours to complete a single home. Habitat for Humanity aims to provide affordable housing for members of our community, which meets their immediate need of safe and no-maintenance shelter while building generational wealth for the future.

In the summer of 2021 Jubilee Ministries Inc was completing the last home renovation we would do. Our team recognized the housing market was changing drastically, and we needed to change our focus. Since that time, we have focused on building new homes for 'The Missing Middle'. The Missing Middle includes teachers, first responders, nurses, and other professionals that are critical to our community, but can't afford to live here due to the cost of housing. The shortage of attainable housing is not just a housing crisis, it is an economic development issue. With that in mind we are just a few weeks away from completing our 10th new home, and in the next couple of years Jubilee will build and sell at least 30 additional new homes. With our development partner Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, we are addressing this critical need in our community. #MissingMiddle #Housing #WestMichigan #NewNeighborhoods
🏠 Housing update!! 🏠 The progress at Vista Green has been so exciting to watch! Check out the finished unit below. We love watching housing construction turn into homes.

Thank you to partners, sponsors, and friends of Lakeshore Habitat for joining us yesterday for our annual Spring Luncheon! We had a blast learning about the need for affordable housing in our community with you and in turn sharing what we're doing to address it. Thank you for support as we work everyday to make sure everyone has a decent and affordable place to call home. See you next year!

Last week, our Executive Director Don Wilkinson was in Washington D.C. to speak with senators and policymakers about affordable homeownership not only in our community, but around the country! We are not only passionate about helping people in our community achieve their dream of homeownership, but we are also passionate about seeing a world where everyone has a decent place of their own to call home. Thanks for your work, Don!
