Students enrolled in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering course Electric Vehicles & the Grid recently participated in the EV & the Grid Grand Challenge. Students worked in teams to modify #ElectricScooters, which were charged by the #KendedaBuilding #SolarSystem and then put their skills to the test to see who could secure the fastest lap time using the least amount of energy. Student teams from participating university partners will develop #StormwaterManagement solutions for #NewYorkCity through this exciting inaugural program. #Stormwater management solutions are critical to enabling #CoastalResiliency efforts and an important component of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ recently announced Green Economy Action Plan. These solutions will be instrumental in supporting #NewYork and other global cities as they respond to changing rainfall events due to climate change.
