Had the opportunity to visit Kaleidoscope Park this morning for a sneak peak of Janet Echelman’s truly breathtaking fabric art piece Butterfly Rest Stop. The pictures don’t do it justice and it’s even more gorgeous as the wind blows! So proud for the Kaleidoscope Park team and can’t wait to see the park keep evolving!

After several days of hard work, "Butterfly Rest Stop" has been tensioned into its final position. Kaleidoscope Park is proud to be home to the first permanent Texas artwork by Janet Echelman. IT’S UP! With the lifting process complete, Kaleidoscope Park’s centerpiece, “Butterfly Rest Stop,” is officially off the ground. Comprised of two five-petaled forms, the sculpture now floats beautifully in the air. Installation of this stunning artwork is nearly finished, with the next step being to tension the sculpture into its final position. The installation has begun of Kaleidoscope Park's stunning sculpture Butterfly Rest Stop by renowned artist Janet Echelman. If you're out and about near The Star in Frisco be sure and look south towards HALL Park to see the incredible changing visual landscape. This will be a significant addition to the already impressive City of Frisco Public Art collection and we are so proud to have its home be in Kaleidoscope Park. Once fully suspended and tensioned in the air, this outdoor public art installation will be among the largest in Texas, reaching 65-feet tall at its highest point.
