Located in Nappanee, Indiana, this 16,000 sq ft facility integrates cutting-edge technology with community-focused design. Featuring five pull-through bays, a training tower, and a modern training room. Our partnership with @ds.architecture as design lead and @theveridusgroup as owners representative ensured thoughtful design decisions were made for operational efficiency and training needs. K2M's innovative engineering solutions, including energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable building practices, have resulted in a remarkable 32.6% improvement in energy performance over national benchmarks. It was a rewarding experience collaborating with the criminal justice officials from Adams County and Pike County, Mississippi. Karen Trotter and I facilitated a three-day session guiding them through the Planning of New Institutions process developed by the National Institute of Corrections. We deeply appreciate the opportunity to have been part of this valuable initiative.

Serving as the Owner’s Representative alongside these key stakeholders and K2M Design and Commonwealth Engineers, Inc., we're excited for the construction of the new station and its proposed community impact - to meet the 67% call increase since 1970 in the City of Nappanee, IN.
