Congratulations to our outstanding Members who were recently honored at Legacy & Legends, our annual celebration of Membership: The Sustainer of the Year Award recognizes a Junior League member for recent or current achievements within three years in service to the community. By exhibiting leadership qualities and employing her Junior League training, the past honorees have made a significant difference through service in the community. - Christi Coyle, Sustainer of the Year Mary Baker Rumsey was a founder and the first president of the Junior League of Oklahoma City. Mary felt strongly that volunteers were a driving force for good in the community and epitomized this belief through a lifetime of service above self. - Sue Ann Hyde, Mary Baker Rumsey Lifetime Achievement Award The Women to Watch: Active of the Year Award honors Active members, representing one to four years of service and five or more years of service. In honor of Women’s History Month, OG&E's Women TOGETHER Member Resource Group (MRG) partnered with Junior League of Oklahoma City and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for a Period Poverty donation drive. The MRG hosted their 3rd annual International Women’s Day Fun Run, collecting 10,566 products for Infant Crisis Services and Oklahoma City Public Schools. A heartfelt thanks to those who contributed and for driving positive change for women in the community!
