  • Why does Families Forward and Junior League partner together? Did you know?! Research indicates that in Mecklenburg County, 45,000 children live in poverty, and without intervention, 28,000 are at risk of becoming low-income adults, as reported by Charlotte’s 2020 Opportunity Initiative Report Luckily, The Family Success Program (FSP) by Families Forward provides educational workshops, offering meals, transportation, and child watch programs, enabling attendance for families with limited resources to help correct the economic mobility rate. The Junior League of Charlotte volunteers assist as homework helpers and reading buddies within their child watch program. These supplementary services are crucial in bolstering the mental well-being of the children, enhancing their confidence and self-image, while fostering a sense of community through peer interactions and the development of friendships. We are very proud of this partnership and the work FFC is doing for our community. Show your support in the comments! #JLC #JLCharlotte
