We celebrate Construction Superintendent Emma Flynn, who has been named to Commercial Observer’s 2024 list of Top Young Professionals as one if its 20 AEC Pros Under 35! Emma joined JT Magen in 2016, and has overseen monumental commercial interior fit-outs on projects ranging from the 150,000-square-foot Nike New York HQ to a 270,000-square-foot, 13-floor restack for a prominent law firm. We have a new Stanley Cup champ! Congratulations to the Florida Panthers, who defeated the Edmonton Oilers to win the franchise’s first-ever cup. 🏒 We’re continuing the celebration and sharing a look at the National Hockey League (NHL)’s U.S. headquarters in NYC, a 176,000-SF fit-out JT Magen managed at One Manhattan West. Spanning across five floors, the office space features a contemporary and open layout, promoting collaboration amongst employees. Media features are seamlessly integrated throughout the entire office, including an impressive 18-foot media wall by the feature staircase. The new headquarters offers a range of spaces, including private offices, open workspaces, meeting rooms, media suites, social areas and a cafeteria that doubles as a "town hall." Memorabilia and unique moments can be found throughout the TPG Architecture-designed space, immersing both staff and guests into the League’s history and culture. This redesigned space embodies the essence of NHL’s brand culture, combining innovation with functionality.
It’s officially the first day of summer! 😎 Have a look through some of our recent workplace projects that feature beautiful outdoor spaces and give employees a chance to take in the sunshine. These alfresco amenities are a desirable workplace perk, key in attracting and retaining talent. Providing access to fresh air, greenery, and natural light can also help boost employees’ wellbeing and creativity. Private outdoor spaces additionally serve as flexible programming areas for company events, with many organizations adding in entertainment features such as a bar, pergolas, night lighting, and a variety of seating options for both work and celebration.
BDO’s new office at the iconic 200 Park Avenue seamlessly blends collaboration and professionalism, reflecting the company’s deep history while also looking forward. The 140,000-square-foot fit-out for the accounting and advisory firm was designed to combine three separate NYC offices, bringing everyone together under one roof and providing the space and amenities to support BDO’s growing New York practice. Throughout the three-floor space, curved ceilings and walls, along with complex millwork and custom lighting contribute to an organic ambiance. Focal points of the new space include a staircase with a geometric feature wall, prominent branding throughout, and a colorful mural painted by art students in the cafeteria, inspiring collaboration and creativity among employees. Still celebrating the exciting news from IIDA Southern California Chapter's Calibre awards last month, when NeueHouse Venice Beach was named this year’s winning project in the Transformation category. In reimagining NeueHouse Venice Beach, our team collaborated with Loescher Meachem Architects, DesignAgency, and AMA Group to transform the historic 73 Market Street into a 23,000-SF unique work hub on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Embracing the spirit of collaboration and creativity, this newest location redefines and elevates the concept of a shared workspace. The member-exclusive haven also features a stunning 2,000-SF roof deck and restaurant/bar, where professionals can network and socialize in a welcoming and scenic environment.
We’re happy to share that one of our recent commercial interiors projects for a confidential financial client has been recognized with a 2024 NYCxDESIGN award by Interior Design Magazine in the Large Corporate Office category! This contemporary and dynamic three-floor-fit-out was designed to combine functionality and leisure for the firm’s employees. The space, measuring more than 100,000-SF, is bright and airy, showcasing spectacular views of Central Park. A strategically placed feature staircase adorned with custom geometric light fixtures connects all three floors, allowing staff and visitors to easily move between public areas and the large outdoor terrace on the lower floor. To encourage a collaborative environment, a large café and gaming area can be reconfigured into a versatile public assembly space via a flexible folding wall. The office, designed by TPG Architecture, is warm and comfortable, featuring oak wood floors, matte stone finishes, custom walnut millwork and natural elements like biophilic walls. ©@Eric Laignel Photography
