About us
The first of its kind in Michigan, Iron Fish Distillery is a field-to-glass craft distillery located just outside Thompsonville. We produce a full line of premium quality, small batch spirits from grains farmed on our fields (as available). With a custom, state-of-the-art production facility and full service tasting room and bar, we invite you to come gather and enjoy. Award winning small batch Vodka, Gin, RUM, Whiskey and Specialty Liquors.

In 2015, which was one year before opening the doors of Iron Fish Distillery, I was introduced to Michigan writer and tireless advocate of Michigan rivers, Michael Delp. On our first meeting we hit it off, and walked away with a vision for a whiskey named Mad Angler. In Delp’s writings, rivers are mad because they do not control their own future - people do. We endeavored to create Mad Angler whiskeys at our farm distillery located on Betsie River watershed to bring attention to his writings. Now the prestigious @ascotawards bring attention to the exceptional quality of the Mad Angler whiskey line up. We could not be more honored to collaborate with Michael and excited for our production team to be recognized for their craft.
