We are excited to announce “Democracy in the Crossfire,” a new exhibition in partnership with International Arts & Artists. The exhibit stands as an exploration of democracy: its triumphs, its trials, its pledges, and its pitfalls. "Democracy in the Crossfire" showcases a collective narrative woven by local, national, and international artists, including that of our own Sebastian Rich, renowned combat photographer and long-time DC contributor, offering a tapestry of diverse perspectives on the pressing global issues confronting citizens in contemporary democratic landscapes. The exhibit is open to the public from July 5 - August 31 at IA&A at Hillyer, 9 Hillyer Court NW Washington, DC 20008. I'm extremely excited about Diplomatic Courier & World in 2050's Future of Democracy Forum (with our co-hosts, Community of Democracies)! This one is of special significant to me, getting down to some of the brass tacks of why I got into this line of work in the first place. Also, I'll get a chance to spend a few days back in Washington, D.C. We've got: ▪ Some amazing partners (International Arts & Artists, Center for International Private Enterprise, Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress (CSPC), and William & Mary Whole of Government Center of Excellence) ▪ Some really cool collective intelligence workshopping ▪ A plan to generate some meaningful outcomes that will help us think about the future of democracy in new, productive ways.
