La #DiplomaciaCientífica anticipatoria es una herramienta esencial para abordar los desafíos globales y mitigar las crisis y riesgos futuros. Esta práctica combina la visión a largo plazo de la ciencia, la academia y las políticas públicas fortaleciendo las capacidades de decisión y acción en el presente. Se conecta con la #Prospectiva y #VigilanciaTecnológica para analizar tendencias y posibles futuros, ayudándonos a desarrollar políticas y estrategias que sean resilientes y adaptativas. La estrategia y práctica de la Diplomacia Científica y la Prospectiva deben integrarse en las definiciones de las agendas institucionales de I+D+i. Muchas gracias al Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) por esta maravillosa invitación para compartir nuestra perspectiva desde Colombia.

🌿Construyendo Puentes entre la Ciencia y las Políticas Públicas Sostenibles: Diplomacia Científica para Estuarios y Manglares en las Américas 🌐El taller se centró en temas ambientales clave para #Panamá y otros países de #AméricaLatina y el #Caribe, enfatizando la diplomacia científica para fortalecer la colaboración regional y las #PolíticasPúblicasSostenibles. Asistieron funcionarios del gobierno de Panamá y miembros del cuerpo diplomático. 🏝️El taller incluyó una visita de campo al Parque Nacional #Coiba, permitiendo a los participantes observar de primera mano ecosistemas cruciales. 🤓Luisa F. Echeverría-King, PhD. y Branislav Pantović, Ph.D., como participantes y miembros del equipo organizador, estuvieron encantados de presenciar las productivas discusiones y colaboraciones, y de guiar la redacción de un white paper. Ivonne Torres Atencio MCB, PhD. presentó el caso de la #DiplomaciaCientífica panameña, destacando iniciativas y éxitos locales. El evento, organizado por la oficina de relaciones internacionales de Senacyt Panamá el Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) y el COIBA AIP, brindó una excelente oportunidad para conectar con personas dedicadas a preservar los ecosistemas vitales de nuestro planeta. -———-English———— 🌿Building Bridges between Science and Sustainable Public Policies: Science Diplomacy for Estuaries and Mangroves in the Americas 🌐The event focused on key environmental issues for #Panama and other #LatinAmerican and #Caribbean countries, emphasizing science diplomacy to strengthen regional collaboration and #SustainablePublicPolicies. Government officials of Panama and members of the diplomatic corps attended. 🏝️The event included a field visit to #Coiba National Park, allowing participants to observe crucial ecosystems firsthand. 🤓Luisa F. Echeverría-King, PhD. and Branislav Pantović, Ph.D., as participants and members of the organization team, were delighted to witness the productive discussions and collaborations, and to guide the drafting of a white paper. Ivonne Torres Atencio MCB, PhD. presented the case of Panamanian #ScienceDiplomacy, showcasing initiatives and local successes. The event, organized by the International Relations Office of Senacyt Panamá the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) and COIBA AIP, was a great opportunity to connect with individuals dedicated to preserving our planet's vital ecosystems.

🇵🇾¡Nos complace compartir los resultados del reciente encuentro de #DiplomaciaCientífica en #Asunción, Paraguay, que se celebró los días 5 y 6 de junio! Reunió a destacados expertos/as, funcionarios/as y empresarios/as del #MERCOSUR con un enfoque estratégico en el #HidrógenoVerde, crucial para el desarrollo de energías renovables en la región. 👏Destacamos la participación como expositores de dos profesionales de Diplo Científica: Karina Pombo, quien además de formar parte del equipo organizador, expuso la disertación “La importancia de una estrategia de diplomacia científica conjunta en el MERCOSUR”, y Pedro Figueroa, presidente de Diplo Científica, quien presentó la conferencia magistral “La potencialidad del MERCOSUR en el contexto de la diplomacia científica latinoamericana y caribeña”. Ambas presentaciones fueron fundamentales para explorar el potencial de colaboración científica en nuestra región. 🙏Agradecemos a la #OEI por la invitación y organización del evento.
