Indianapolis Public Schools reposted this
As the superintendent of a district serving more than 80% Black and Latino students, fewer things make me happier than seeing our students in spaces that they’ve historically not had access to or been viewed as not belonging in. They DO belong. We WILL continue to find ways to expand their access. Our students were incredible in their poster presentations today for the Indiana Clinical Sciences Institute. They represented Indianapolis Public Schools with absolute excellence. I’m so thankful for this opportunity they had to shine. This is what #RebuildingStronger is about. When our kids have the opportunity, they soar!

Elementary students in Indianapolis Public Schools will learn English language arts with a new curriculum this coming school year that emphasizes background knowledge and foundational skills. IPS leaders see the change as positive not just because it aligns with state law, but also because it connects to the district’s goals to promote racial equity and increase access to a rigorous education. https://lnkd.in/g-wzvgQR
