52 years ago Title IX was signed into law. Here we are thinking about the next 50 years and what’s required to propel this movement forward – it’s going to require investment, stories, and amplification. We started Impakt Partners with a vision to create a more equitable world by increasing visibility for female athletes, taking our deep experience and expertise developing, producing, marketing and distributing stories that connect with people and create action. That's why our work uplifts kickass womens' sports stories -- like our current projects featuring professional cyclists, Paralympians, motorsports drivers and riders, pro athlete moms, collegiate athletes and more. Here’s to Title IX, more progress, and more meaningful storytelling! #titleix #equality #equity #womenssports #storytelling

We love opportunity…Women’s Sports holds the opportunity to do things differently. It’s imperative to break out of THE OLD and find new, better ways. The time is now…to reach the new fans/audiences that crave non-live storytelling content, supporting their love for sport. If we don’t give fans multifaceted stories that, in the words of this kickass article by Jennifer Acree at JSA+Partners, are "amplifying the visibility, recognition and popularity of female athletes with strategic storytelling," we’re going to miss a massive opportunity. Women’s sports is proving that it isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s good business. We're here for meaningful narratives and on board to bring off-court stories to the forefront! https://lnkd.in/gvm7gv9M #sportsnarratives #sportsstorytelling #womenssports #engage #elevate #makeanimpakt #sportsbusiness #sportsPR

No Caitlin Clark? There’s a lot of debate going on in the media and personal conversations about leaving Caitlin Clark off the Olympic roster. The team is going for its 12th gold medal. The high caliber level of play in the WNBA is real. A lot of people are just realizing it because of the draw of this exceptional rookie class that includes Angel Reese and Cameron Brink. The bench is deep and getting deeper. That’s a good thing. So is the fact that people are publicly and loudly debating whether or not Caitlin Clark should be going to Paris. Women’s sports is winning and the Summer Games are about to see the effect. https://lnkd.in/gk68auvF “No Caitlin Clark? Team USA women’s basketball will still be big TV draw at Olympics” #olympics #wnba #teamusa #caitlinclark #goforgold #paris2024 #womenssports

Founder, Trailblazing Sports Group. Women's Sports Advocate. Sports Sponsorship Guru. Revenue Generator. X ESPN/Disney
Welcome to the #trailblazingtuesday #upfront & #WNBAWNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) Tip Off edition... As we said at the Women's Sports Club IAB Newfront - this is not an AND / OR proposition. This upfront is time to INVEST IN WOMENS' SPORTS. The WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) on ESPN/Disney platforms opening night is projected to exceed the 5M viewers - breaking the all time inaugural WNBA game record in 1997 - and a feat given the games were on E2 & ESPN+ (because of NHL Playoffs on ESPN). Linear ratings were up between 103% in the women's NCAA March Madness Finals (where else do you see those increase in live sports?!?) ,and over 7% YOY in the NCAA Softball World Series final - essentially drawing the SAME viewership as the men's college WS in the title game. These linear viewership trends are too significant to ignore. AND while it's important to invest in those high profile moments on linear this upfront season- it's equally important to invest in the STORIES and the always on moments that fans are craving and thats where our Trailblazing Sports Group Marketplace partners can help! So let's all do our part to tell more women's sports stories, buy/watch the live events, partner with athletes, and support local teams this UPFRONT season. 💥📈💰 #trailblazing #womensports #upfront

As the excitement for women’s sports grows, we have to keep our eye on the ball, ensure girls and women’s rights to play (and everything else!) are cemented, enforced, and ensure nothing rolls back. This caught our eye: Title IX has helped even the playing field when it comes to sports programs access for women and girls – but a new report about the law shows there's still work ahead. The report confirms that while female college enrollment numbers outpace males, opportunities for female athletes significantly lag behind their male counterparts. It’s tough for girls to imagine having a place if the visibility isn't there – you have to see it to be it. #womenssports #title9 #titleix #access #equality https://lnkd.in/dpZ7YG8P

STOKED! Just went for a Google Search and this popped up. As if we weren’t excited enough for the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) Tip Off tonight. Right on Google - High-fives and fist bumps to brands and media platforms who make it easier to be a sports fan (we are living in a world where we don’t need “women’s” in front of all sports). #wnba #lfg #sportsfans #womenssportsstories #google #womenssportsmedia #sportsmedia #storytelling google.com

What a few weeks it’s been! First the Axios Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment The Next Fifty event followed by the first-ever Women’s Sports Club official IAB NewFront, followed by the SHE Media Winning Women & Sports Content Studio reception. I think we are fully recovered. Thank you Gina Waldhorn Sports Innovation Lab Sara Gotfredson & Trailblazing Sports Group for including us in your women’s marketplace with 4 story-driven packages featuring incredible women (and our partnering talent) like Sekhmet International Motorcycle Racing Team owner Maddi Patterson and FIM Women’s Motorcycle World Championship racer Mallory Dobbs, PE and buzzy sports journalist Pepper Persley. And 💪🏼💪🏼Samantha Skey & Danette Leighton Women's Sports Foundation 🏁🏁For your vision, tireless work, and bringing these events to life🏁🏁 Big takeaway from the event: If 80% of every household consumer purchasing decision in the U.S. is made or influenced by a woman, isn’t it the perfect time to reach female decision makers via powerful athlete stories? We believe in a simple equation to fuel women's sports: Powerful Storytelling + Strategic Distribution + Marketing = 💥💪🏼📈 Great live women’s sports moments get attention, but it’s the stories that hold it and grow it. #trailblazingsports #womenssportsmedia #storytellers #sportsmedia #sportsinnovationlabs

It’s been almost 2 years since we foresaw the cultural shift unfolding in women’s sports and decided to utilize our collective experience in sports media, bet on women (and ourselves), and launch Impakt Partners, women’s sports media, production and marketing company. Flash forward, we’re heading to participate in the first ever NewFront dedicated entirely to women’s sports. We’ll be armed with women’s sports storytelling and media packages that include NewFront speakers @malloryDobbs, world champion motorcycle racer @maddipatterson’s Sekhmet team, and 13-year-old sports journalist and sideline reporter Pepper Persley. Ready. Set. LFG! @sports-innovation-lab @angelamruggiero @ginawalhorn @saragotfredson @trailblazingsportsgroup for providing the essential data and vision. #trailblazingsports #womenssportsmedia #storytellers #sportsmedia #sportsinnovationlabs https://lnkd.in/gEmsapV3

Reading and reflecting on the retirement announcement of 3x WNBA Champion (first to do that for 3 teams!), 2x MVP, 7x Allstar, 2x Olympic gold medalist (the list goes on) Candace Parker and noting another milestone as we witness the cultural shift in women’s sports. Legends like Candace and all the women hoopers (and incredible trailblazers in other sports, we see you) paved the way for the current wave (and building) of NCAA and WNBA excitement. Candace leaves the court better than she found it, has inspired countless athletes, and is the definition of an icon. As she exits, she'll be the last remaining WNBA player who played under legendary Tennessee coach Pat Summit. Thank you, Candace Parker for your impact on women’s sports. #womenssports #candaceparker #wnba #ladyvols #womenssportsbusiness #sportsmedia #womenssportsstories #storytelling https://lnkd.in/gZCwz6GS
