Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Helena O Keeffe from Cork Chamber, who spoke with our start-up founders about the benefits of Cork Chamber membership. Helena emphasized the importance of networking for entrepreneurs early in their journey, highlighting that you never know who might help you or when. She provided an overview of various events organized by Cork Chamber, including Maximise Your Membership, Golf Classic 2024, How to Run Your Home Like a Business, Business Breakfast with Maggie Cusack, Networking Lunch on Board, Cork Digital Marketing Awards, and many more. She also shared valuable tips with the start-up founders: 💡 Attend relevant networking events in the start-up space. 💡 Leverage every pitching opportunity that comes your way. 💡 Connect with Cork Chamber Ambassadors and learn from their journeys. 💡 Network using Cork Chamber's ConnectMe tool. 💡 Following up is key to building long-term connections. Fun Fact: IGNITE start-ups receive a free Cork Chamber membership for 12 months, which can be activated at any stage during the program.

Some people wait for change to occur, while others create it.💡 Conor Lyden frequently flew to and from the UK to see football games while studying Engineering at UCC, and he was always wary about handing strangers money in the expectation that they would send him the ticket later. During this time, he created the first concept for Trustap while participating in the IGNITE UCC programme. TRUSTAP secured $5.5 million in Series A funding led by TX Ventures.
