About us
Established in 1909, Homasote Company is the "pioneer" of Green Building and Packaging products in the world. Homasote Company is the oldest manufacturer of structural building and packaging products from recycled content (high post-consumer content) in the United States. The company's primary product is an underlayment board that provides superior sound control in floors, walls, and ceilings. Its strength and abrasion resistance makes it the world’s best protection for floors and walls during construction. Decorative, ultra-tackable panels are produced with a suede-like sanded face, laminated with cork or wrapped with decorative fabrics. Homasote Company manufacturers an oil free, flexible concrete expansion joint that can also be used for concrete forming and tile-setting in swimming pools. The company makes high-performance roof decking. Homasote services the packaging needs of Glass, Steel, Paper and Stone industries through its Pak-Line Division.
