We ❤️ Food Truck Friday! 😎 Each summer, we treat HITT team members in our 14 offices across the country to lunch on wheels or in their offices. It's one of our favorite annual traditions! We encourage our hardworking team to take a long, well-deserved break and connect over their love of construction and amazing food. Investing in the future, one student at a time. ✨ HITT externs jumped right into the exciting world of construction management. 🏗️ This week, we hosted our annual summer externship for high school students eager to explore the business and construction worlds. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors had the opportunity to work hands-on in a business setting. They started building their professional networks, met with leadership from various departments to learn more about their roles, and attended professional development classes and training sessions at our headquarters in Washington, DC. Reflecting on this Pride Month fills us with joy! 🌈 From coast to coast, our team members celebrated by attending pride festivities in their communities, including the WeHo (West Hollywood) Pride Parade where this year our Superintendent Katrina Vinson led the way, held pride-themed happy hours for team members, and got our Pride Alliance employee resource group together with Inova Health's Pride team member group for a mixer in the DC area. Our HITT Futures summer interns have been busy these past few weeks! 🏗️ They've gotten out on jobsites with our site operations teams and enjoyed curriculum days in the office where they learned more about laser scanning, professional etiquette, and more. They've even taken a few field trips! Our interns recently joined Rosendin for a lunch and learn to hear more about their operations, how we collaborate on projects, and their BIM processes, as well as tour their prefabrication shop with some hands-on training. Yesterday, interns had the opportunity to give back to the community by helping to build townhomes in Ward 8 of Washington DC with Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia. It's inspiring to see this next generation of industry leaders in action!
