From Theory to Practice: Robotics Education at DHBW Stuttgart ! 🤖 Students at DHBW Stuttgart are trading dry theory for hands-on programming in their robotics lectures using educational 6-axis robots developed by OrangeApps GmbH. These toy-sized robots made from LEGO bricks offer a fully functional introduction to KUKA system software. Klaus Meeners teaches students with these educational robots before they advance to full-sized KUKA robots at the Mercedes-Benz training center in Sindelfingen. This practical approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also prepares students for real-world applications in the industry. 🤖 We are delighted about our long-standing partnership with Siemens Healthineers! Our KUKA KR QUANTEC robot is at the heart of Siemens Healthineers' state-of-the-art ARTIS pheno X-ray imaging system. It is used for various medical treatments, such as the examination of vascular diseases or the repair of heart valves. The robot moves the C-arm with X-ray source and image converter around the patient. The surgeon has optimal access to the surgical field during the procedure and is supported by imaging. As of 2016, the system is already in use in more than 550 clinics worldwide; including earlier versions, well over 1,200 of these innovative systems have been installed.
