June 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of National Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month. Did you know that ND Sen. Kent Conrad first sought recognition in 2010 for ND National Guard Staff Sgt. Joe Biel, who battled PTSD after two tours in Iraq? June 27, Sgt. Biel’s birthday, was named PTSD Awareness Day and is observed annually. In addition to veterans, PTSD affects about 8 million Americans each year. Hey child care employers: Don’t miss out on a new great benefit that you can use to attract and retain employees. Starting June 1, the Child Care Workforce Benefit will be available to help with child care costs for employees of licensed child care providers.
