Did you know Guild Mortgage was recently named “Top Guaranteed Housing Lender Champion” by the U.S. Department of Agriculture? The USDA product might be one of our most underappreciated loan programs. It provides low- and moderate-income home buyers 100% financing with reduced mortgage insurance premiums and below-market mortgage rates to help open the door to homeownership in rural America. As one of the largest national mortgage lenders, it’s our privilege to offer these loans in small towns and rural areas all over the U.S. I want to extend a huge thank you to our team for helping us achieve this distinction and deliver the promise of home in these communities! As we celebrate the halfway point of 2024 and Independence Day 🇺🇸 this week, I’m reminded that one of the things we all love about our country and our industry is that we are always striving for improvement. The promises of democracy, freedom, and homeownership are all core to what we do every day, and we know that while we’ve come a long way, we still have so much left to do. A few things our teams at Guild Mortgage are focused on as we move forward into the second half of the year: Making homeownership more attainable for more families through constant product and process innovation and service improvements, leveraging technology (like AI) to make us smarter and more effective, and finding ways to welcome more diverse groups of people into our industry and the world of homeownership. I’m still celebrating the success of our first-ever Elevate Sales Rally this past week in Las Vegas. More than 250 LOs paid their own way to learn from each other and invest in their future. This wasn’t hype. This was collaboration and learning: Loan officers sharing their systems, experiences, and strategies with each other to help make us all better. With celebrations of Armed Forces Day last weekend, and Memorial Day weekend in front of us, I want to recognize two leaders at Guild Mortgage who recently received honors for their service to military families. Loan Officer Kelsey Rasmussen, president of Guild’s Seventh Branch employee resource group, was recently awarded a 2024 Veteran Champion of the Year in Corporate America award for being a champion of veterans in the civilian workspace. Likewise, Guild Investor Fulfillment Project Manager and Navy veteran Nelson Labadie, a Seventh Branch board member, was given a 2024 Employee Veteran Leadership award to honor veterans making a positive impact on their organizations. Congrats to both of you and a special thank you to all of our military families at Guild!
