For the second year in a row, we had a great evening of networking and conversation at The Capital Grille in Providence yesterday with members from the Greater Providence and Northern Rhode Island Chambers. Thank you to all our respective members who took the time to connect with each other and share what they are up to as we continue to build strong engagement and lasting relationships among the Rhode Island business community. We had a fabulous time and look forward to doing it again next year! #GPCCEvents #RhodeIsland #Networking

We have a bit of a disconnect here on what is required in the post-pandemic era to be a pro-business state --- one that cares about its top private employers and building career opportunities for parents and families. The current back-and-forth between Citizens Bank and our state’s policy makers over how to be “aggressive and intentional” about keeping an employer with 4,200 jobs in Rhode Island needs a course correction coupled with a high sense of urgency. The consequences of failing to get our “collective act together” during this legislative session will be swift --- provoking all of us to ask: How did we let this happen?
