Do you know someone who has a heart for service? The nomination window for the 2024 Community Spirit Award is now open. Annually, the award is given to one volunteer who exemplifies the commitment to community service and "can-do" spirit of Giants Community Fund Board Member Emeritus, Isabelle Lemon. Help us find an All-Star in our community! We especially encourage community nonprofits to recognize those who have stepped up beyond their usual volunteer role to assist with overcoming challenges over the past three years (COVID, racial justice, gun violence, mental health and more). The award winner will be honored and presented with a $2,500 grant for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to which they are committed as a volunteer. All applications must be received online by the deadline of Wednesday, August 7 at 5 p.m. The award winner will be notified by Wednesday, August 14 and will be recognized at the Giants game on Monday, August 19 at 6:45 p.m. Submit a nomination now:https://lnkd.in/gyvrtYjU

On #NationalInternDay, we would like to recognize our 2024 Opportunties for All Intern, Nashali De La Rosa. This summer, Nashali has been a GIANT help with our ballpark fundraising - including activations at the Community Clubhouse and our 50/50 Raffle. Opportunities for All (OFA) provides access to career exploration and workforce development for San Francisco’s youth and young adults. The initiative includes paid internships, mentorship, and pathways to employment, including job readiness, career training, and apprenticeship for participants ages 13 to 24. OFA focuses on equitable access to these opportunities through workforce connection, support and job resources for both jobseekers and employers alike. Special thanks to our friends at Bank of America and the San Francisco Mayor's Office for their support of youth in our community.
