Get to know Nathan & his journey with G2👇 ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 & 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝟮? I landed on my feet when joining G2 back in February 2022 as I had two of my besties Siobhan & Leah (shoutout to the GG’s) who were already working here - hearing how much fun they had, I couldn't help but apply. ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? Salespeople traditionally have a bad reputation – think of Matilda's dad selling dodgy cars to Mrs. Trunchbull or the 'Snake Oil' salesperson peddling cure-all elixirs. However, there has been a noticeable shift in recent times towards making sales more customer-centric, also known as solution selling. What I find most fulfilling as a Senior Account Executive is when a prospect opens up about the challenges they're facing or the goals they need to achieve. We then work together to determine if G2 fits their needs at that moment, making a small but impactful difference to someone's day, week, or year :) ⭐ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗚𝟮’𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀? Collaborative, encouraging, and entertaining ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝟮? I will always be proud of my work as Co-Chair of the LGBTQ+ ERG alongside Jamie Yates & Chase Heinemann. We were able to pull off some fantastic events all whilst educating a wider audience about the importance of allyship, raising funds for more than deserving organisations, and still pulling in the highest attended G2 events of the year like our LGBTQ+ Icons Bingo, OUTstanding: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Leadership & the Queer Experience in Tech and G2's 3rd Annual Drag Show. ⭐ 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝟭 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁? Be yourself! Corporate culture often pressures individuals to change who they are to feel seen, heard, and validated. Many of us use big words, corporate jargon, or acronyms we don’t fully understand, just to ‘fit in’. A university professor once told me to KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid. This advice has stuck with me and remains some of the best guidance I apply in both my professional and personal life.
