Last week the newly formed Soul Care (see Dallas Willard’s concept of the soul) Network met once again with numerous practitioners from various disciplines (pastoral care, psychotherapy, trauma/addiction counseling, chaplaincy, spiritual direction, etc.) who serve all over the city as we explored #Harvard Human Flourishing research and discussed the role of #prayer in our professional practice. This is a great space for making connections, learning from cross-pollination of practice, and potential referrals, etc. A big thanks to Greg Schad of Crossroads Counseling Groupfor facilitating! Last week we (Nick Nye & Shane Tucker) had the privilege of visiting one of our sister city reaching movement Love Ft. Wayne with its CEO Geoff King and also the ‘godfather’ of city movements, Eric Swanson of City Leaders Collective. It was so encouraging to join in #prayer and #worship with leaders across Ft. Wayne, Indiana, hearing about all of the good being done through their networks across the city, visiting their incredible 24/7 #prayer room PrayerWorks Fort Wayne and talking #citytransformation. The LORD is at work in spaces, places and cities all over the world, and Ft. Wayne, IN is a shining example of #JesusChrist and the #HolySpirit at work, revitalizing a city as people follow the LORD, lean into #unity, and #collaborate for Kingdom good!

For years, I've been hearing a longing from workplace Christian leaders in business, education, civic, etc who've wanted to collaborate more intentionally for the sake of our city. After a lot of conversations and connections, we are excited to have Ford Taylor and Chuck Proudfit come to Columbus next week to lead a two-day "Vision Retreat" or workshop to move workplace leaders into city-wide impact TOGETHER! This is an exciting space to continue our efforts-- Details are at https://lnkd.in/gWkfzTUE

May we all receive this benediction from Rob Kelly of ForCharlotte.org -the sister city gospel movement to For Columbus. There is nothing more or better than being a daughter and son of our Heavenly Father- and actively receiving His love. This changes everything- and determines everything. May we, as God’s people of Columbus, Ohio, lean into -and live into- this truth, this reality, more and more. And as we do, may it pour over into the lives of those around us. As Rob reminds us, it’s by this that the world will know #Jesus is real, He’s at work, and we belong to Him (John 13:34-35, 17:20-23, Bible). Join us at the For Columbus One City Leaders Summit next Thursday (4.25) [$30/scholarships available], and then again the next night (4.26) [FREE] for One City Worship, with all believers from across Greater Columbus! More info and register at OneCityWeekend.com #JesusChrist #unity #citymovement
