This past week, our BRIDG and imec USA Marketing and Communication intern, Jayden Graham, ran the first NeoCity Summer STEM Camp! This week-long summer camp, ran entirely by students at NeoCity Academy high school, which included interns from our partners at SkyWater Technology, was created to teach the #innovators of the future about the countless #STEM opportunities available to them. Over 130 students grades 3-8 experienced 8 unique STEM stations, from extracting the DNA of a strawberry, to coding their own robot! Jayden led over 40 high school student volunteers in creating their own STEM curriculum, teaching the younger students about different STEM industries. Community initiatives like these at NeoCityFL are creating a talent pipeline in our region, contributing to existing workforce development projects. Education is the key to opportunity, and NeoCity Academy students are unlocking countless doors. We are so proud of you, Jayden! You are a shining example of the amazing NeoCity Academy students, and we are grateful to CareerSource Central Florida and its impactful summer internship program for enabling you to be a part of our team! #BeFirstToWhatsNext #FutureOfInnovation #WorkforceDevelopment #Education #TalentPipeline #UnbelievablyReal Osceola County Government Ben Larry Dale Miller Jay Galbraith Ryan Honeycutt
