It's time for #PeopleBehindThePower! This week, we're introducing Taylor! Starting as an intern with FirstEnergy in May 2023, Taylor now works full-time on our team as a digital designer. As a digital designer, Taylor loves the impact her role plays within the company. "I love the opportunity to have a direct positive impact on the lives of our customers and stakeholders by designing products that are user-friendly." When she's not designing, Taylor also loves tennis, hiking and baking! 😋

We're excited to introduce Jo Anne as this week's spotlight for #PeopleBehindThePower! Jo Anne is a manager in our HR department and has been with FirstEnergy for 10 years. She not only loves her fellow employees but also loves the opportunities offered to those at FirstEnergy. "Our employees are the foundation of FirstEnergy and I truly enjoy helping employees remove barriers and feel valued...FirstEnergy offers many opportunities in terms of careers, development and mentorships. I enjoy watching employees grow in their careers and helping leaders foster an environment of inclusivity." Aside from work, if you ask Jo Anne what her favorite snack is, she'd say, "Chocolate!! My favorite expression is: 'For the love of chocolate'"

Akron native Ella Probst loves the thrill of a hill—specifically, the world-famous hill at Derby Downs in her hometown. She was one of more than 320 competitors from throughout the United States, Canada and Japan who competed in this year’s FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby World Championships, held July 14-20. In light of the #SoapBoxDerby last week, we're featuring one of our employees who loves volunteering at the event, Trey! Having been with FirstEnergy for 10 years, Trey has experience in numerous areas within the company including a lines engineering designer and an environmental specialist. But Trey's favorite part about working for FirstEnergy is getting to give back to his community. "I love working for a company that provides such an important and necessary service to our community. FirstEnergy supports our communities and offers volunteer opportunities...I support tree planting efforts as well as helping to organize our local soap box derby race."
