Along the banks of Lake Superior, Essentia Health's St. Mary's Medical Center redefines the patient experience and challenges contemporary #healthcaredesign strategies with bold, innovative, and sustainable solutions. Our design team and partners envisioned a hospital environment that is comfortable, welcoming, and efficient for patients, families, and staff. Its iconic façade pays homage to the rolling fog of the largest lake in the world and provides striking views throughout each of its 19 floors. Its public areas have the engaging warmth of hospitality spaces, and its patient-centric design drives impactful outcomes by consolidating adaptable inpatient rooms, procedure rooms, and flexibly planned outpatient spaces. At nearly a million SF and the length of 2 football fields, this monumental hospital remains a community-based hospital that puts patients and families first. https://lnkd.in/efCAe96x

The EwingCole New York team rounded out Pride Month with a fun after-hours party graciously hosted by Coronet Lighting in the Flatiron district. The event was a wonderful opportunity for our team to come together and celebrate diversity and inclusion. What better way to celebrate Pride Month than with a game of Drag Bingo, hosted by the talented NY drag queens "Svetlana Stoli" and "Digna." Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting the LGBTQ+ community. #EwingCole #PrideMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #NYCEvents #CorporateCulture

Northwell Health, New York’s largest primary and specialty care ambulatory network, providing care to two million patients annually, is expanding! We are thrilled to share that Northwell is constructing a new ambulatory outpatient center in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. EwingCole is part of a comprehensive design team as the healthcare planner and interior fit-out architect for the new 250,000 SF medical office building (MOB), named the Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Health Pavilion. This state-of-the-art facility will consolidate and enhance patient access to many of Northwell’s specialty care programs at one location, with the Northwell Health Cancer Care Institute serving as the anchor program. Designed with clinical efficiency, patient accessibility, and an improved care experience at the forefront, our team developed an outpatient program based on a patient-centered care model in collaboration with Northwell Health's clinical and administrative leadership. This innovative care model: - Reduces duplicative registration and administrative spaces - Improves patient access - Elevates the patient experience - Future-proofs the building with a modular approach to clinical floor planning, allowing for growth and service line changes Read more about this exciting project and its potential impact on patient care in the Upper East Side in our latest blog! https://ow.ly/qGbi50SnhQ6 #HealthcareDesign #PatientCenteredCare #NorthwellHealth #EwingCole #Architecture #HealthcarePlanning #NewYorkCity #MedicalOfficeBuilding #InnovationInHealthcare

✨ Critical Reading ✨ "Historians have long argued that the practice of democracy requires not only a civically educated populace but a body politic knowledgeable about its successes and failures. If the way forward for U.S. democracy involves such literacy, Juneteenth celebrations—more so than the now blunted King holiday—appear to be an incubator for what that racially conscious literacy might entail." https://lnkd.in/ekz3VGEV
