Modern and contemporary American art museum with a world-renowned ceramics collection. 1st Museum designed by I. M. Pei.
About us
The Everson is the first museum to dedicate itself to the collection of American art, to create a permanent collection of ceramics, to collect video art, to create a docent program and to hire the now internationally-known architect I.M. Pei to design its building, a sculptural work of art in its own right. The Everson is home to approximately 11,000 works of art: American paintings, sculpture, drawings, video, graphics and one of the largest holdings of international ceramics in the nation. The Everson Museum of Art is located on Harrison Street, in the heart of downtown Syracuse, New York, right across from the OnCenter. We invite you to visit the Everson Museum of Art and celebrate the arts in Central New York. 315-474-6404

Her contributions to the Festival of Trees & Light and the Everson’s Outreach Team have been invaluable. Thank you, Ellen, for your remarkable commitment and passion for the arts. 🍎 Shaye Weaver visited the Everson in Syracuse and published this article in TimeOut (New York City): "...Everson is certainly a highlight of visiting Syracuse and should be on any itinerary. And soon, it’ll offer even more with the addition of a farm-and-kiln-to-table restaurant called Louise."--by Shaye Weaver, TimeOut https://lnkd.in/eY784Nxn

Happy Earth Day! Here is the result of the quilt squares we made at the Everson Museum yesterday! Each square represents temperature change in Syracuse between their original birthdate and most recent birthday. Some warmer, a couple lower, and quite a few stayed the same. This artistic study in no way negates climate change, but it does give me a little bit of hope. Next it will go into my quilting queue. I’ll share more progress photos during the quilting process later this spring. From Rachel Ivy Clarke, via Instagram.
