With the advent of deployable, distributable unmanned systems has come the need to develop effective counter measures to these new threats—and American innovators are rising to the challenge. We must deploy next-gen technologies at the speed and scale required by the evolution of the drone threat. "AI drones will put our forces at risk, from ships to infantry. Just as the armored blitzkrieg caught Europe off-guard in World War II, so has the proliferation of drone munitions today." More in The Wall Street Journal ↘ https://on.wsj.com/3RXPQ3R

Per Center for a New American Security (CNAS), investing in the development and fielding of counter-drone technology will be critical for the future fight. "To deal with the drone threat that already exists today and the threat that will exist tomorrow, the DoD needs to invest in cheaper, proven technologies that offer affordable defenses against drones, as well as higher-end future technologies, such as high-powered microwaves and directed energy, that could offer very effective defenses against swarms of drones."

"Why should the United States care more about [Gallium Nitride] GaN?" asks a new Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) report. GaN is at the center of our innovation at Epirus—and is core to our revitalization of high-power microwave technology. Unlike massive and cumbersome vacuum tube-based high-power microwave systems, our utilization of GaN-based semiconductors within the Leonidas family of HPM systems enables a range of size, cost and efficiency advantages. That’s how we #InnovateWithImpact Read the full report ↘ https://bit.ly/3VyAxPZ
