A recent report from McKinsey & Company highlights the critical role circular chemicals will play in positioning European chemical manufacturers to meet near-and long-term sustainability goals. The report states "to meet circularity demand, the European chemical industry needs to go beyond mechanical recycling," estimating that this method can only address as much as one-third of plastic waste. By turning plastics unfit for mechanical recycling into ISCC+ reusable circular chemicals, Encina’s technology complements existing mechanical systems. This enables the creation of products that can be used and reused indefinitely and supports manufacturers and brands in meeting their sustainability goals.
