We’re committed to supporting 2 GW of clean power to enable 7 billion miles of renewable driving by 2030. 7 billion miles. That’s a lot of adventures. What’s a renewable mile? A “renewable mile” means for every kWh you charge (or mile you drive), we invest in an equivalent amount of high-impact renewable energy for the national grid.* We’ve invested in projects that maximize “3C” benefits for community, climate and conservation across the country, partnering with innovative companies like Pivot Energy, Emrgy Inc. and ARC Alternatives to accelerate the transition to a zero-emission electric grid. Here are a few highlights – Bringing affordable solar to families across rural Illinois, powering 164 million renewable R1 miles each year. Embracing low-impact hydropower for farming communities in the West, powering 550,000 renewable R1 miles each year.
