Every year, we provide scholarships for college-bound graduates from the @seedschoolmd. This year, five students were awarded the REED for SEED scholarship at SEED's Bloom event honoring the class of 2024. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Our ER Academy is all about providing unique wellness opportunities and access to experiences that our students would otherwise not have. Exposure is everything! We recently collaborated with Baltimore SquashWise to provide over 50 participants at Booker T. Washington Middle School the opportunity to learn new sports skills! Squashwise hosted clinics to lead students through various stations including basic rules of the game, how to grip the racket, hitting the ball, and relay races.

Each year we provide gap scholarships to college-bound graduates from our partner school; The SEED School of Maryland. REED for SEED Scholars participated in a varsity sport for a minimum of 3 seasons, maintained a 2.5+ G.P.A., and are enrolled in a "good fit" college. We awarded the 2024 REED for SEED Scholarships, presented by the Baltimore Ravens, at SEED's "Bloom" event earlier this month. The event celebrated the class of 2024, honored the Ed Reed Foundation as their 2024 Community Champion, and included a special message from our Founder, Ed Reed. Congratulations to our 2024 REED for SEED Maryland Scholars! Last week, students from our partner school; The SEED School of Maryland got to experience a very special R.E.E.D. Program outing; a trip to Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Finance Park. Volunteers from Transamerica mentored the students through real life financial situations and decisions and everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch from our longtime partner, The Local Oyster. This impactful day is a perfect example of how our R.E.E.D. Program exposes youth to new environments while connecting them with positive mentors and unique opportunities. Respect. Educate. Empower. One of the primary goals at our partner school; Booker T. Washington Middle this year was to encourage improved attendance. As a part of our R.E.E.D. Program, 30 students with the top attendance got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the The Maryland Zoo. Students got to experience an Animal Encounter with Zoo trainers, participated in a financial literacy workshop, hosted by Fulton Bank, during lunch and got to explore the zoo with Zoo Ambassadors to get a special inside experience. Thank you Maryland Zoo for making this incredible trip happen!

Our friends at McCormick & Company continue to help us move our mission forward in amazing ways! This week, students from the The SEED School of Maryland's culinary and wellness clubs were treated to a private lunch with McCormick's chefs. They got to learn about the chefs' different professional journeys while enjoying the delicious meal! Our R.E.E.D. Program is all about connecting youth with positive mentors and providing exposure opportunities to new environments. We couldn't be more proud to continue to bring these enrichment experiences to those we serve!
