Today was a great crowd for the Featured Friday with the ETEC board of Directors. We started out by hearing from our breakfast sponsor, Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS). Jay Mullis then told ETEC members about the DOE agreement with TDEC. That was followed up by Chris Whaley and Greg Capps going over the ORNL and Roane State Partnership for new Project Management/Control Programs. Christy Drewry then talked to us about something she is passionate about - getting women involved in STEM. We had some great interactions! This was followed up by Michael Russell introducing three of Strata-G's interns. It was a great meeting with good questions! Thank you to everyone who joined us! As a reminder, #ETECNOW2024 is this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. We will not have our normal Friday meeting. Instead, mark your calendar for THURSDAY, August 1 – There will be a special session of ETEC to hear from Candice Robertson, Senior Advisor (EM-1) DOE Office of Environmental Management from 7:30-8:30 a.m.in the UT Outreach Center. Today, Matt C. Schaefer, MBA from East Tennessee Children's Hospital (ETCH) shared stories of the work Children's Hospital is doing to create an environment for healthy kids. One of the highlights for the community of Oak Ridge is that ETCH is actively working on expanding their space and services at Oak Ridge Pediatrics. Additionally, ETCH is piloting a new program here in Oak Ridge to get “upstream” of pediatric mental health crises. What great work! Thank you to everyone who joined us!
