It was an honour for my first time working at Glastonbury, (producing and building the EarthPercent stall and also singing in a choir for the new Scissors bar) to ALSO speak on this all-women panel hosted by WaterBear Network at Silver Hayes' The Information stage with Jayda G and Maria Correa, moderated by radio host Andrea Zara.
We explored the intersectionality of climate and culture, our personal journeys into the environmental space, how we include diverse voices in our work and what it means to be an imperfect activist.
I think I did pretty well on 4 hours sleep. Can't say the same for my hair...

We can't quite express how over the moon we were when we brought the incredible 'This Is Our Home' collective into Brian's studio few weeks back, to share with us their singing and their storytelling from their homes in and around the Pacific Islands for our event with Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative.
So imagine how DOUBLY EXCITED we were when that led to them singing on stage a few days later with Coldplay! Read more about it below.
Helping give them a platform such as that is a huge honour for the EarthPercent team.

EarthPercent are incredibly proud of our grant partners ClientEarth and their recent legal success in the UK.
The High Court has now told the UK government not once, but TWICE, that its climate strategy is not fit-for-purpose, and is therefore unlawful.

Here’s, I think, a standout example of how culture and music can a leader on climate action and on climate thinking. 🌿 💬
Today a new initiative launched to recognise the role nature has in songwriting in music. Think about it: throughout music history the sounds of nature have utilised so. many. times. Yet, NATURE’s never credited. And she’s certainly never paid, in order to support herself.
Until now.
EarthPercent, Museum for the United Nations - UN Live and others just launched Sounds Right. It’s an initiative that means when an artist incorporates the sounds of nature into their songs she’s credited as a ‘featured artist’. Y’know, like a verse from Kendrick, or a vocal hook from Dua. She also has her own Spotify profile, and the royalties are channeled back into the most impactful causes working on the protection and flourishment of nature and biodiversity.
For this launch there's new music from the likes of David Bowie x Brian Eno, Aurora, Tom Walker, Uni + V from BTS, Anuv Jain, London Grammar + others.
The idea is so simple, yet so radical.
It makes me think about how much climate ££ could have been raised over the past 70 years of music if the idea had arrived sooner. Who knows, maybe there’s a respective way of doing that?
And, what about if the initiative was transposed to other formats. Replicated in TV shows, movies, video games… imagine the funding that could be created if even just a small amount went to climate positivity when nature plays a role in those individual creations.
I've posted a link to the official site in the comments.
It was pretty hard not to hear the waves that NATURE has been making the past few days! Have you been listening?
Here’s just a tiny selection of the international press that have been talking about NATURE, now officially an artist across all major streaming platforms.
The ‘feat NATURE’ playlist on Spotify has been saved 25k times and NATURE has 1.7million monthly listeners currently.
Hear her roar!
