Last weekend, @DuroElectric employees and their family and friends gathered at Wonderland Brewing Company in Broomfield, CO for some amazing food and drinks, social hour, and other fun, family-friendly activities. It was so much fun getting to spend the afternoon with the Duro family and their loved ones. Everyone’s fury friends were able to come and have a good time as well, making it an even more exciting event. We want to extend a huge thank you to Wonderland Brewing Company for their hospitality during this event. Last week Dave Nordini, Project Manager, has decided to retire after an amazing 34 years of dedication and service to Duro Electric. Dave spent his career making a positive impact on our company, our customers, and has been an important part of the Duro Family. Dave is looking forward to traveling, fly fishing, and spending more time with his family during retirement! Duro Electric Co provided a Foundation Check to Freedom Service Dogs of America to assist their efforts in transforming lives. Founded in 1987, Freedom Service Dogs has been partnering people with custom-trained assistance dogs, so they no longer have to live a life limited by frustration, fear, or difficulty. Their clients range from veterans and first responders to children and teenagers with autism, and any individual with a neurodevelopmental or physical disability. If you or someone you know is a dog person, there are ways to get involved with this wonderful organization: you can assist them by raising puppies, becoming a puppy sitter, or even by volunteering onsite. Duro Electric hosted our first ever all field employee meetings in our Englewood, CO office. We believe that it is important for our entire staff to learn pertinent company updates and inform them of what’s on the horizon for Duro Electric. We kicked off the meetings with Safety First, and then shared updated from Operations, Service and Special Projects, Preconstruction, and Human Resources. As you can tell by the smiles, it’s always a fun time when we come together! Duro Electric Co recently completed our Clearview Severance Library project, which is a new ground up 10,000 square foot building in the town of Severance, CO. The library is a 1-story build and contains a stack area, reading rooms, community room, and staff work areas. Duro Electric supplied a new electrical distribution system, normal branch power, light fixtures, lighting control system, fire alarm system, access control system and a telecommunication system. Thank you to the crew for maintaining a safe work environment throughout the duration of this project! #duroelectric #construction #electrical #electricalconstruction #safety #newbuild #library #community #electricians #innovation

Duro Electric Co is working on the Goodwill Excel Learning Center. The Excel Center, will be the state’s first tuition-free, public, in-person high school for adults located in Aurora, CO. This 25,000 square foot, 2-story facility, consists of classrooms, computer labs, and an on-site daycare. Duro is extremely proud to partner with Himmelman Construction, and we are excited to see it through to completion.
