Today we move another step closer towards realizing Cleo Parker Robinson Dance vision for their new facility. So proud of the many professional including our onsite team lead by our project manager Tori Vendegna and senior superintendent Eric Erfling who worked diligently to ensure the Annex building was brought down safely and without any impact to the historic AME church. Lots of planning goes into putting together demolition plans that involved a building over 100 years old and a operational facility with hundreds of kids coming in for summer camps. Kudos to our trade partners Orion Environmental, Inc., Colorado Cleanup Corporation, Weifield Group Contracting, Legacy Mechanical, Inc. and off course our Mortenson self-performing crews doing the earthwork and utilities! Weifield is excited to be working on our Tennessee Bottled Blonde project with Turner Construction Company -- a leading builder of complex projects in diverse market segments! This four-story building in Nashville, TN is 40% complete and starts with a vault and storage area and ends with a rooftop area—and will include multiple bars, stages, and even a mezzanine. The third floor is specifically dedicated to a VIP area with a deck and kitchen. FAST PROGRESS AT BRIGHTON WATER TREATMENT PLANT PHASE 3: Weifield’s Brighton, Colorado Water Treatment Plant Phase 3 project is underway! This project with Garney Construction (GC) started last fall and is expected to complete in early 2027; it is comprised of the construction of new Water Treatment Plant improvements which will increase the facility’s reliability and capacity to support the city’s population and development growth. The new pump systems will be capable of producing 20 million gallons of water per day (MGD), (a 10 MGD increase from the current WTP's capacity), for a lifespan of 25 years—through 2045. Our own Jesse V. sent in these great shots of our crew installing the entire underground rough which is located below a main electric room and feeding the equipment in several buildings, onsite—including a motor control center, several variable frequency drives, panels, and a programmable logic controller. The vertical conduit runs will extend up to the equipment and the horizontal pipe below will tie into duct banks to go to the other buildings. Most of the power will be used on large pumps to circulate water for the various water treatment processes. We can’t wait to see the continuing progress on this one!
