June marked the HIGHEST Return-to-Office Rate since the pandemic, reaching 71.9% recovery compared to 2019! In addition, Overall Foot Traffic (residents, visitors, employees) in June was also up at 84% compared to 2019. Downtown Cleveland continues to attract people to work, live, and visit with its compelling live music and food truck events, as well as the clean, safe, vibrant streets and sidewalks created by Downtown Cleveland, Inc. While accelerating downtown's recovery remains a work in progress, Downtown Cleveland's efforts are making a visible difference in the economy, environment, and experience of the core. Congratulations to Canalway Partners on receiving $250,000 in state capital budget funding to further the planning and development of the historic location, Canal Basin Park. This more than 20-acre riverfront property is ready for immediate improvements to complete connections between the 101-mile Towpath Trail and the Cuyahoga River. City of Cleveland - City Hall is currently engaged in a study determining a viable plan for a seamless park experience that will provide unimpeded connections to the Cuyahoga River and create a unified space, allowing for river access and enjoyment. Merritt Chase is completing this study and is currently in the public engagement phase. Canal Basin Park is one of Downtown's largest public and green spaces, and we're excited for our continued partnership in improving amenities for residents and visitors in the Downtown core. Submit your input on the future of Canal Basin Park with the link below: https://lnkd.in/g7cbfThv

Over at Downtown Cleveland, our team works closely day in and day out with the Cleveland Department of Public Safety and Cleveland Division of Police to foster a clean, safe, and welcoming city. I am deeply saddened by this loss of life and extend my deepest sympathy to our friends and partners.
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate the Fourth of July, we want to extend our deepest condolences to our extended family at the City of Cleveland - City Hall, Cleveland Department of Public Safety, Cleveland Division of Police, and the Third District. We work closely every day with the Third District and share today in their grief. https://lnkd.in/gkvnzwSZ

There’s no Food Truck Tuesday today due to movie filming, BUT we suggest stepping inside the Key Tower lobby instead to grab fresh coffee from Savour Coffee & Creations, enjoy delicious sushi from Marble Room Sushi, take a comfy seat, and admire the historic architecture of the attached Society for Savings Bank building. ☕️ 🍣 Keep in mind that there also will not be a Truck Stop Thursday on the Fourth of July due to the holiday. However, there are still plenty of restaurants open and things to do, including watching Downtown Cleveland's Light Up the Lake Fireworks at dusk! 🎇 #DTCLE
