"It might surprise some to hear that not only are education-focused organizations moving up the charts in overall tech hiring, but the education industry is also an early winner in the AI race. High schools and universities are using AI to personalize learning experiences, using AI tutors called intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) that adapt to each student’s pace and style of learning. "This isn’t just a gimmick; it’s revolutionizing how teachers manage their classrooms and how students absorb information. At the Georgia Institute of Technology, for example, an AI-powered virtual teaching assistant (TA) helped reduce the burden on overworked flesh-and-blood TAs. "AI-driven analytics are also helping educators identify struggling students early and provide targeted support. Around 82 percent of colleges will fold AI into their admissions workflows this year, reducing the workload of reviewing transcripts and letters of recommendation." —Art Zeile, CEO of DHI Group, Inc. "Yes, speed of implementation is extremely important when it comes to AI, and especially generative AI. With the success of NVIDIA and OpenAI, you can already see that the stakes of this race are tied to billions, if not trillions, of dollars, and that the first-mover advantages are already significant." —Art Zeile, CEO of DHI Group, Inc. One of the most common questions I’m asked about AI is why speed-to-market seems more important for AI than for other transformative technologies. In my latest article, I explain why it's so important. This is Part 2 of my Dice LinkedIn series: From Calculated Risks to Quantum Leaps: Charting the Course for Tech Talent in Flux. I'll be publishing a new LinkedIn article every Monday at 9:00 a.m. MT on the future of work and AI. You can read Part 1 at https://lnkd.in/dJi5kytr #ArtTalksAI #FutureOfWork #SpeedToMarket

“Developers, engineers and many others in tech roles work best when they are in a flow state, and it's hard to reach that in an open office setup. Working remotely is a no-brainer simply because the work gets done while employees reap the benefits of not being distracted or having to commute,” said Art Zeile, CEO of DHI Group, Inc., to Forbes while discussing how a company can thrive in a remote environment. #RemoteWork #WorkFromHome #FutureOfWork

Dan Martin, VP of Brand Marketing at Dice, joined The Diversity Movement to discuss why leadership must inspire allyship action in the workplace. "Talking to folks in our LGBTQIA+ group, those who are transgender, and those who are in the broader community, they have found great value in the mental health benefits that the organization offers. "It's been a huge win for the group to expand free Talkspace, and expand coverage when we heard back that we're not covering enough. Making sure it's easy to find a therapist in your local area with the insurance company that's covered, and then we added Calm. "It's something we heard back from our HR partners, that these conversations are being had in the group, (so) we pulled them together and created a proposal, and went back to our DEI Council" to make the changes that were needed. #DiversityAndInclusion #LGBTQIA #MentalHealthMatters
