WLKQ La Raza 102.3/107.1 Receives Prestigious NAB 2023 Marconi Award, Named Spanish Language Radio Station of the Year Atlanta, GA – October 26, 2023 – WLKQ La Raza 102.3/107.1, a long-standing beacon of excellence in Spanish-language radio, has been honored with the coveted National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2023 Marconi Award for Excellence in Radio. La Raza's recognition as the Spanish Language Radio Station of the Year underscores its unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding programming to the Atlanta, GA community for the past 19 years. As the station prepares to celebrate two decades on the air in April 2024, this esteemed accolade pays tribute to its continued impact on the media landscape. La Raza 102.3/107.1, a proud affiliate of Davis Broadcasting Inc., was founded in 1986 as a 100% minority-owned company by the visionary Mr. Greg Davis Sr., who currently serves as President/CEO. Guided by Mr. Davis's leadership and under the dedicated stewardship of General Manager Brian Barber and VP Market Manager, Greg Davis Jr., the station has flourished, becoming an integral part of Atlanta's cultural tapestry.

Over 200 Atlanta families experiencing food insecurity received a free grocery shopping experience at Pop-up Grocery Market sponsored by Smooth Jazz 101/100 (Davis Broadcasting Inc.), Chevrolet, and Mabra Law (Ronnie Mabra, Jr., Esq.) in partnership with Grady Health System. Preregistered families from across the Atlanta Metro traveled for miles to receive fresh produce, shelf stable items, meats, eggs, bread, milk and more. The event was held on Saturday, August 26th at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs.

As inflation continues to affect our nation, there are many families who struggle to provide healthy food options for their families. On Saturday – August 26th, 2023 Smooth Jazz 101/Smooth Jazz 100 Davis Broadcasting Inc., along with Chevrolet , Mabra Law, and Grady Health System will team up with GoodrCo. to provide a drive through pop-up fresh market for over 200 families in need. This event will take place at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs. Each family will receive 1 weeks worth of groceries for a family of four to include -Shelf stable items -Fresh produce -Meat x2 -Milk -Bread -Eggs If you or a family you know are in need, register today via the link below!
