Inspiring tour of Connecticut Foodshare last week - especially cool to peak inside their hydroponic (or vertical) farms. Inside a single shipping container, they can grow 5 acres of produce. And it’s all autonomously monitored by a computer. Not to mention they serve 40 million meals a year to +24,000 households across #Connecticut! Thanks to Timothy Buzzee.
Last week, we had the opportunity to tour Connecticut Foodshare's impressive Wallingford facility, including one of their two #hydroponic farms - big enough to grow 5 acres of produce in a single shipping container! 🥗 Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) is honored to sponsor and partner with Connecticut Foodshare in their extraordinary efforts to alleviate #hunger across our state. A special thanks to Al Marino and Timothy Buzzee for their time and hospitality. To learn more about our partnership: https://lnkd.in/et5EXRsT

Today, we celebrate Get to Know Your Customers Day by reflecting on the incredible impact your support has had on our mission. At Earth Animal, we believe in the power of giving back. That's why we dedicate 1% of our annual net sales to initiatives that enrich communities and enhance lives worldwide. From supporting organizations like Tamerlaine Sanctuary & Preserve, Connecticut Foodshare, and Greater Good Charities to partnering with OceanWise, Global Animal Partnership, and How2Recycle® (H2R) to ensure our actions are meaningful, provide positive impact, and 3rd party verified, your contributions have made a tangible difference. Our commitment knows no borders, extending to partnerships with organizations like StreetVet, a national charity in the UK, which provides free essential vet care to the pets of those experiencing homelessness. Additionally, we joined forces with rePurpose Global to be Certified Plastic Neutral, and remove plastic waste from the most affected areas, furthering our environmental stewardship. So, as we strive to get to know our customers more with every year that passes, we ask you – if we could make one product to benefit your pet’s health, what would it be? Together with you, and by getting to know you the best we can, we're building a brighter future. Thank you for joining us on this journey towards building a sustainable future. #ThankingOurCustomers #1PercentPromise #EarthAnimal #CommunityImpact
