Judith Gootkind, Kellie O'Shea, Esq., PHR, Laura Randazzo Members of the CSI team attended the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) 2023 Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas where PBSA celebrated its 20th Anniversary! CSI is proud to be a Founding Member of PBSA celebrating our own active involvement since the Association's inception. We recognized early on the importance of shaping industry practices and steering regulations on behalf of background screening companies and the clients we serve. Highlights of CSI's involvement includes the leadership of Judy Gootkind, Past Chair of the Board and most recent recipient of the prestigious Mike Sankey Lifetime Achievement Award for all her initiatives including advocating on new frontiers such as privacy, including testifying in many legislative initiatives at the state and federal level. Judy has Chaired and worked in a number of Committees at PBSA over the last 20 years. Laura Randazzo, Past Chair of the Board, and current Co-Chair of Advocacy, has lobbied tirelessly on legislative issues impacting background screening and our clients. Laura also, participates in task force initiatives as needed, including updating BSCC policies and procedures and updating the PBSA accreditation standards. Kellie O’Shea, early on, Co-Chaired the Litigation Avoidance Subcommittee of the Industry Practices Committee where she currently participates in Task Force initiatives. Kellie also participates in lobbying efforts at the federal and state level. Most recently Kellie has joined the Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC). CSI employees are encouraged to get involved in PBSA. Employees from a variety of departments work on Association Committee work and Task Force initiatives. CSI will continue our support for and involvement in PBSA. We wish PBSA a special and happy 20th anniversary!
