As part of attending the UK Creative Festival I attended the Creative Circle Awards and was named as a 2024 'Most Promising Creative Individual' Finalist, which is incredibly exciting!🏆I feel so fortunate to have attended the awards surrounded by such incredible talents and projects in all of the categories. I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the team at UK Creative Festival, Jeremy Green and all of the judges! When it rains, it pours! (Unless you also live in London, where it always rains and then it pours!) What a couple of weeks it’s been for two of our most beloved projects for WWF and Discord! First off, our film for WWF, "Up In Smoke," cleaned up at the Creative Circle Awards, snagging three glorious Gold awards: GOLD - Best Animation Design GOLD - Best Animation for Positive Change GOLD - Best Lens Based Animation "Up In Smoke" kept the momentum going at the Collision Awards, raking in an eye-popping five Gold awards (and one Silver): GOLD - Art Direction GOLD - Direction GOLD - Lighting GOLD - Production Design GOLD - Non-Profit SILVER - Sustainability & Environment And because the universe loves a good trifecta, "Up In Smoke" also scored at the New York Festivals with: GOLD - Animation SILVER - Production Design As if that wasn’t enough to make us pop the champagne, our film for Discord, "Teenage Safety Charter," directed, designed, and animated by our incredible directors Rocketpanda, struck Gold at the Collision Awards in the Mixed Media category: GOLD - Mixed Media Huge congrats to all our talented collaborators who poured their heart and soul into these projects, and a massive shoutout to our clients for trusting us to bring these visions to life. Introducing the new President of the Creative Circle Awards . . . Charlene Chandrasekaran! Charlene, who is currently joint ECD at independent agency The Or, is the 52nd president of the organisation and will serve for the next two years. "I almost turned down this role because it felt ridiculous for me to accept. But then my brain was like ‘No, Charlene! Stop being such a coward and do it.’ And I was like ‘Brain, why are you always shouting at me?!’ I’m excited, anxious, grateful and everything in-between for the opportunity." Very excited and proud to announce that Hugh Kendall and I were chosen as the Most Promising Creative Team at the Creative Circle Awards last week. We also managed to pick up GOLD for Best Interactive Out of Home Campaign and SILVER for Best Writing for Online for our Takis Drop Codes work. So big love to the amazing bunch at Publicis London. And finally, a thank you to the bloody brilliant Steve Paskin for nominating us for in the first place. 🦅 Watch this space.

Thank you to Creative Circle Awards for the multiple award wins at this year's festival in Margate. It once again demonstrates our commitment to craft and persistence. OkayStudio Editor Charles Gamble won bronze in Best Film Editing for his collaboration with Uncommon Creative Studio and BIRTH. OkayStudio Colourist Alex O'Brien was recognised in the Most Promising Colourist category and OkayStudio Editor Joanna Lewandowska picked up 2 awards for her short film Nature’s Child.

Was pretty cool to win a Gold at the Creative Circle Awards in Margate last week with Mariel Fay-Downes for this campaign we did with Sky Creative and Guild Esports. We drank a lot of booze and laughed and then we got on the last train back to London and then our lives continued as normal and depression set in.
