For many, getting released from incarceration can present a mountain of obstacles, from accessing food and clothing to securing employment, finding a place to live, and obtaining adequate transportation, to name a few. With these #reentry barriers in mind, CoreCivic has partnered with Our Journey, an organization managed by people with #livedexperience, to provide reentry resource guidebooks to near-release individuals in CoreCivic's care. In celebration of #FathersDay, residents at CoreCivic's Whiteville facility in #TN who participate in the facility's crochet class created stuffed "Cooper the Dog" toys to give to children visiting their father. Cooper the Dog is a character companion, familiar face, and friend to accompany children during a visitation experience. Additionally, the facility provided stickers and activity books for children visiting on Father's Day.

An innovative rehabilitation and #reentry program called Hustle 2.0 is offering incarcerated individuals at several CoreCivic facilities, including CoreCivic's Bent facility in #CO, the tools and resources to change their mindset and map out a positive future for themselves. Hustle 2.0 uses an evidence-based, trauma-informed curriculum generated by both those with lived experience and thought leaders in the correctional rehabilitation space. When participants successfully complete a Hustle 2.0 course book, they receive a certificate of completion. Those who complete all three books even receive #college credit from Southern Utah University. MORE: https://hubs.li/Q02zSWJD0

Pride Month, observed annually in June, celebrates love, acceptance, and equality for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or expression. Happy #PrideMonth! This year, we're focusing on the theme "Reflect, Empower, Unite." As we reflect on our progress and the struggles we still face, we're reminded that there's still work to be done to create a more inclusive and accepting world. And so, we unite! We come together as allies, friends, and family members to support one another and to celebrate our differences. We recognize that our diversity is what makes our world so beautiful. Remember, every individual deserves to be respected, loved, and accepted for who they are. Let's create a world where everyone can live freely and authentically. Happy Pride Month, everyone! #PrideMonth2024 #ReflectEmpowerUnite #LGBTQPlus #LoveIsLove #EqualityForAll
