CORE Consultants has successfully obtained Temporary Certificates of Occupancy (TCO) for our Cellar Residential to Day Care conversion project spanning four properties along Central Park West. This accomplishment represents a challenging and rewarding process that involved navigating various city agencies and addressing complexities associated with interconnected buildings sharing utilities. Throughout the project, we strategically handled the installation of new services and successfully obtained approvals from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for vault penetrations in existing vaults adjacent to the property. Additionally, our team efficiently managed street closure permits, recorded egress and utility easements, and ensured the creation of an accessible route across multiple lots through the implementation of a ramp and wheelchair lift. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we engaged in high-level discussions with the Department of Buildings (DOB) to reinstate stalled projects, ultimately leading to the successful completion of our endeavors. We celebrate the completion of our 30-unit Supportive and Senior Housing project in Corona, NY for Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, Inc. The development will provide housing services to chronically unhoused individuals with mental health issues and older adults.
