This two-story, 32,000 SF house of worship in Swan Lake, NY is an inspiration and a testament to responsible construction. In a world increasingly dominated by steel and concrete, timber offers a refreshing departure—a return to the organic and sustainable practices. Not only driven by lower construction costs, but the architect and engineer also decided to minimize the use of steel elements, limiting their use only where clear spans are challenging. In the pursuit of sustainability, timber construction emerges not as a compromise but as a solution—an embodiment of innovation and environmental consciousness. #CityScapeEngineering

145-15 89th Street. Brooklyn - No April Fool! Back in April 2022, Frontgate Management Inc. contacted us inquiring about the feasibility of delivering a 421A package within just two months. In response, our team at CSE swiftly rose to the challenge, promptly arranging a geotechnical investigation in collaboration with Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA), while closely coordinating with Samuel Wieder RA AIA, and Expediting4u, the expeditor. A year later, by April 2023, this 66,500 square-foot, 8-story building was topped off by Tovia Kohen and Jonathan Rocchio. Fast forward to April 2024, only two years later, the building is nearing full occupancy, with only a few units remaining available. CSE recognizes the importance of time and delivery for a project's success. With the right team and attitude, significant accomplishments can be achieved. #CityScapeEngineering

3745 Riverdale Avenue - Spans a through-block property from Riverdale Avenue to Oxford Street in the Bronx, the 18-story tower has risen from what was once a challenging site, requiring excavation support, including up to a 30-foot rock cut at the property line. Standing over 200 feet tall, it ranks as one of the tallest buildings in the neighborhood, offering unobstructed sweeping views from New Jersey to Long Island. This stylish condominium, designed by Newman Design Architects and developed by Stagg Group, has begun accepting applications for its waitlist. #CityScapeEngienering

60 Cedar St, Brooklyn - Strolling through the triangular expanse nestled between Myrtle and Bushwick Avenues, and Stanhope Street in Bushwick, one cannot help but be captivated by the emergence of a 134,000 SF, 18-story mixed-use. This architectural marvel designed by Samuel Wieder RA AIA now graces the once desolate parking lot with its presence. The cellar and ground floor of this new structure replaced the former parking and provided an elegant communal facility on the first floor. CSE was privileged to provide the Structural and SOE Design, Kerenstar Management also entrusted CSE Construction Support Services to provide SOE inspection, along with Optical and Vibration Monitoring. These comprehensive services not only streamlined the construction process but also swiftly resolved any site issues that arose, ensuring an expedited and efficient project delivery. #CityScapeEngineering

GHETTO 4 LIFE - Adorning a weathered, nearly century-old brick wall, the contentious mural by renowned British artist Banksy is making Bridgeport, CT its new home. Originally unveiled in 2003 at 651 Elton Avenue, Bronx, "Ghetto 4 Life" portrays a young boy engaging in graffiti, inscribing the phrase "Ghetto 4 Life" while being offered a tray of spray cans by a butler. Initially suggestive of defiance and rebellion, the artwork reveals upon closer examination intricate layers of socio-economic commentary. CityScape Engineering was privileged to undertake the design of the wall's restoration and the implementation of a steel framework to safeguard and preserve the deteriorating brick structure during transportation. The removal of this wall marks a new chapter for the space, as it paves the way for the construction of a new charter school designed by IMC Architecture. CityScape Engineering assumed full engineering responsibilities, from the Demolition plan and Support of Excavation to Vibration and Optical monitoring, Special Inspection, and the Structural Design of the new 5-story building.

101 Fleet Place, situated in the heart of Brooklyn amidst a vibrant, one-way, narrow downtown street, is a mixed-use commercial and residential property soaring to new heights. Over the past two months alone, this impressive 21-story structure has ascended 20 stories, showcasing remarkable progress. Standing 215 feet tall and encompassing 235,500 square feet, the building is anticipated to reach its pinnacle by the first week of March. This architectural feat by JFA Architects promises to enhance the downtown Brooklyn skyline. #CityScapeEngineering
