🌍 Exciting News for European Ports! 🌊 We're thrilled to announce that nine ports are competing for the ESPO Award 2024, celebrating outstanding circular economy projects that benefit both the ports and their surrounding communities. This year’s theme is "Port projects or strategies in the field of circular economy that benefit the city and/or the surrounding community." The nine contenders for this prestigious award are: - Port of Antwerp-Bruges (Belgium) - Port of Hirtshals - Hirtshals Havn (Denmark) - Port of Gdansk Authority (Poland) - BilbaoPort (Spain) - Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón (Spain) - Autoridad Portuaria de Huelva (Spain) - Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas (Spain) - Autoridad Portuaria de Sevilla (Spain) - The Port of Gothenburg (Sweden) These ports have demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainability and innovation, actively engaging with their communities to drive circular economy initiatives. The winner will be chosen by an independent jury of international experts, led by Eamonn O’Reilly, former Chair of ESPO. 🗓️ Save the date! The winner will be announced at the ESPO Award Ceremony and Dinner on November 6 at the Albert Hall in Brussels.
