Healing for abused children starts here.
About us
Community Partners of Dallas was established in 1989 by a committed group of Dallas County individuals to determine how the community could support Child Protective Services. The mission of Community Partners of Dallas is to provide what abused children urgently need today to thrive tomorrow. This is a unique mission, in that there is no other nonprofit agency in the Dallas County area that meets this need. As a result of its broad-based community support, Community Partners of Dallas was named the Outstanding Volunteer Organization of the Year by the Volunteer Center in Dallas in 2009. Community Partners of Dallas’ programs have been replicated across the state, and Rainbow Rooms currently exist in more than 155 cities in Texas. Community Partners of Dallas provides for the immediate and urgent needs of over 20,000 abused and neglected children each year, so that they can take their first steps to healing. Basic Needs: provide urgent resources to restore safety and dignity. • Rainbow Room • Back-to-School Drive • Winter Coat Drive • Night Response Individualized Needs: fund highly personalized, critical needs to promote healing. • Kids in Crisis Childhood Experiences: contribute to positive, affirming childhood experiences. • Storyline • Easter Basket Drive • Holiday Toy Drive Caseworker Engagement: equip and encourage CPS caseworkers. • Caseworker Appreciation • Caseworker Wellness

We are excited to welcome our summer intern, Maddi Anderson to Community Partners of Dallas. A former teen board (THANKs) leader, Maddi will be assisting our team with Thrive Together and our Back to School Drive to expand her knowledge of nonprofits. We are excited to have her on the team for the summer. If you see her around, be sure to say hello! #communitypartnersofdallas #summerintern

Community Partners of Dallas had the honor of joining VolunteerNow (USA)'s Hearts of Texas Luncheon as the recipient of the Ruth Collins Sharp Altshuler Award for excellent stewardship of volunteers. Last year, CPD hosted 1,810 volunteers who gave 7,248 hours, which is the equivalent of 181 eight-hour days! Hope is restored in the lives of our CPD children because of the hours our volunteers give and we are very grateful for their support. #communitypartnersofdallas #volunteers

Community Partners of Dallas held a Total Eclipse Watch Party for Dallas County caseworkers in our parking lot yesterday. Our generous partner, Amazon Web Services (AWS) provided the lunch and volunteers for this once-in-a-lifetime event! We had a blast and loved celebrating this memorable afternoon with our special friends. #communitypartnersofdallas #solareclipse2024 🕶

Today is a big day in our world. The Conservatorship (foster) and Kinship divisions of CPS have privatized and become the purview of a private contractor, Empower. This is a huge change. Many of our beloved caseworkers and supervisors have accepted positions with Empower, some are staying with the State in new roles and we sadly say goodbye to some really wonderful, caring people. Our hearts are with all on this day of new beginnings. Community Partners of Dallas' commitment is to do everything we can to ensure that every child in care still has access to all the resources they need. We look forward to working beside all CPI, CPS and Empower employees as they work to keep our community’s children safe. Check out this interview with our friends from Dallas CASA where Kathleen provides an overview of some of the changes. The abused and neglected children in our community continue to need our support, and with your help we’ll be here every step of the way. https://lnkd.in/gbvNirm7 #communitypartnersofdallas

We are so grateful Eyeful Media incorporated Community Partners of Dallas into their team meeting by making all of these snack bags. This group continues to show up for our CPD children in so many different ways, and we are appreciative of their continued support! #communitypartnersofdallas
