Last week, Commander, Naval Information Forces celebrated our warfighters and their achievements during an All Hands Call. Our team also celebrated the remarkable careers of IBoss Vice Adm Aeschbach and FORCE Nunley, whose more than six decades of combined service have profoundly impacted the entire US Navy #InformationWarfare team. This All Hands Call was their last as the triad, and their leadership, dedication, and commitment will be deeply missed. Thank you, Vice Adm. Aeschbach and FORCE Nunley, for your unwavering service and inspiration. Your legacy will continue to guide us as we forge ahead.

Summer is in full swing, and the heat is here – and our #NavyIW midshipman cruise continues! For midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy and Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps - NROTC, summertime not only means fun in the sun, but it’s also an opportunity to shape themselves as future US Navy leaders. Twenty-eight midshipmen make up the second cohort of this program, which allows midshipmen from all over the nation to acquire essential, practical experience at various Navy afloat and ashore commands, exploring diverse IW mission sets. The midshipmen will immerse themselves in understanding how IW capabilities are foundational to all other warfighting operations, preparing them for a career in Navy #InformationWarfare!

In 1924, the Navy's first AGs collected and analyzed weather data, interpreted atmospheric patterns, and provided timely and accurate forecasts to plan naval operations. Today, our AGs around the globe are continuing to adapt to technologies that keep them at the forefront of scientific expertise, providing accurate and reliable #weather information to support our operations around the globe. In every major conflict and operation in the last century, and in humanitarian and peackeeping missions around the world, AGs have been the key to our Navy being ready to meet any storm that lies ahead. This week NAVIFOR's METOC Training Team just wrapped up the 2024 METOC Annual Readiness and Training Symposium (ARTS)! From June 25-27, leaders from across the meteorology and oceanography community gathered at Commander, Naval Information Forces to evaluate readiness, training methods, and emerging requirements, ensuring we meet evolving fleet needs. Formerly the METOC Annual Training Review Meeting (ATRM), these events have been integral since 2017. We applaud the collaborative spirit of our METOC community, dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement. Together, we're shaping the future of US Navy METOC operations and enhancing information warfare readiness. Last week, Commander, Naval Information Forces kicked off the third annual #InformationWarfare summer cruise, where mids from across the country will gain invaluable hands-on experience across various Navy commands and IW mission sets. Over the next three months, nearly ninety midshipmen will dive deep into how IW capabilities underpin all other #warfighting operations. Information Warfare is CONSTANTLY in demand -- and the Navy is answering the call with talented officers who want to serve in IW. We’re looking forward to seeing these future #warfighters in the Fleet!
