Big things are happening in Montrose, Colorado. Jeff Mengenhausen is bringing his military background and a fierce entrepreneurial spirit to reimagine health care delivery in southwest Colorado, with collaboration, not competition as the foundation. Thank you, Jeff for spending time today and sharing the great work you and your team are doing. Colorado Hospital Association #coloradohospitals #ruralhealth

CHA's new VP of rural health, Joshua Ewing, has already been busy hitting the road to visit Colorado's #ruralhospitals and their communities.
What an evening! Last night, along with Angelina Salazar CEO of Western Healthcare Alliance, Marc Cabrera, member of the Board for Telluride Regional Medical Center, Jeff Roberts, CEO of Telluride Regional Medical Center, and Kaye Hotsenpiller, CEO of River Valley Family Health Centers, we got to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities facing rural health care in Colorado. Thank you to Jason Corzine and Courtney Groves of the TELLURIDE FOUNDATION for hosting this wonderful event, and to the more than 60 community members who came out to engage on a Tuesday night (and the evening before the start of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival). Jandel Allen-Davis, MD, president & CEO at Craig Hospital and Chair of the CHA Board of Trustees, welcomes attendees to day two of #CHACEO. She shared this quote from George Washington Carver as a reminder to put ourselves into the mindset of the patients our hospitals serve: "Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these."

We are grateful to @VailMedical and sponsor @Jackson_Search for hosting #CHACEO attendees after a busy afternoon of discussions and learning!

CHA CEO, Jeff Tieman, welcomes hospital & health system leaders to #CHACEO to network, to hear from leaders from the industry, and to build CHA's future work, with a focus of helping hospitals and health systems continue to provide care for the patients and communities they serve.
