    It’s Take Your Dog to Work Day! 🐕 Why allow dogs at work? A study found a pet-friendly office environment would convince 49% of the respondents to accept a job offer. Of course, working from home is the ultimate pet-friendly workplace. That’s what we’ve opted for at CoderPad (although we also have an office in Montpellier where people can come when they want. With or without their dogs). Alice, our Head of Content Marketing, lives a little far from Montpellier so instead she takes Wendy (see photo below) to her coworking space.     While most candidates respect the integrity of technical assessments, a small number of applicants will always seek to get ahead in the hiring process through deceptive means.   Whether they copy code from the internet or hide a more knowledgeable friend in the room, candidates who want to cheat will cheat for a variety of reasons.   So, what do you think is the best way to ensure the integrity of your assessment process?

    Communication has to be more than just a buzzword in your hiring process. Think about it: candidates invest their time, energy, and lives into their job search. So, it's only fair to ensure clear, two-way communication throughout. Transparency about roles, processes, salaries, benefits, and remote work policies are non-negotiables. But here's the kicker: honesty is key. Don't be tempted to lure candidates with false promises of remote work, for example, if it's not the reality.
