Cast your vote for our fellow nonprofit and AIM grant awardee, the Hawaiʻi Wildfire Management Organization (HWMO)! Targe Circle Program funds will support HWMO's wildfire mitigation and community preparedness efforts, and help them continue vital work in wildfire readiness and resilience. It's simple, quick, costs you nothing, and only requires you to have a Target account. Once you have an account, follow the instructions pictured. If you wish to cast your vote for HWMO and you're not located in Hawaiʻi (like the COCO team), all you need to do is update your Target store location to one in Hawaiʻi. Once your location is updated, you'll see your list under 'Cast votes' update to include our partner, HWMO. COCO's AIM team first partnered and granted HWMO in the Spring of 2020 and was thrilled to have funded them again in the Summer of 2022. With their vision for people and places to be wildfire-safe and wildfire-ready through proactive, collaborative, and forward-thinking projects and information exchanges, we were happy to keep working with this phenomenal nonprofit. We encourage you to learn more about their amazing work at https://www.hwmo.org

The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) would like to recognize July 2, 2024, as National Wildland Firefighter Day (NWFFD). Established in 2022, NWFFD honors the dedication of wildland firefighters and support personnel. This day falls within the 2024 Week of Remembrance (June 30 - July 6), providing an opportunity to renew our commitment to wildland firefighter safety while remembering those who have fallen in the line of duty. Help COCO in honoring its fellow wildland firefighters. The work is tireless but rewarding. Consider helping your neighborhood wildland firefighter by supporting Grassroots Wildland Firefighters at https://lnkd.in/gWwZVAmY.
